“ We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time” TS Elliot.

I travelled the world, lived in many places, and explored many rainforests from Borneo to the Amazon. I saw so many things, and found my place in nature, alone in my thoughts, my camera as my companion, reminded by the tallest tree, the highest mountain, the sprawling savannahs, the meandering rivers, the great expanse of the heavens that I am not alone. I have a glimpse of something greater than me, and it humbles me. Perhaps it was the red squirrel, a badger, the smallest of birds that ate and planted the seed, that grew into the largest of trees, that gave them shelter and fed their seed. At every turn, there is a story. Nature has so many, I find peace here, and recall the words spoken to Job -

“These are the mere edges of His ways and indeed how small a whisper we hear of Him”.

When I see wildlife from behind my lens in the wild, I have to put my camera down and simply behold the moment. It's fleeting, beautiful and dreamy. I am an observer, and it is passing, yet for the briefest of moments, I glanced into the face of wisdom and beauty.
